Avesta Communities Selects Mvix to Power Its Digital Signage Networks across Florida and Texas

Avesta's 39 community locations in Texas & Florida feature employee communication displays powered by Mvix to drive the employee experience.

Avesta Communities, a rapidly growing apartment investment and management firm based out of Tampa, Florida, has selected Mvix as its digital signage platform. Founded in 2010, Avesta has acquired over 12,000 apartments throughout Texas and Florida. Though the company concentrates on the acquisition, redevelopment, ownership, and operation of apartment buildings, Avesta prides itself most on building a sense of community among tenants to become the most resident-focused company in the world.

Avesta is able to reach this goal by investing heavily in their employees and allowing outcomes and profitability to naturally improve. Employees are "teammates" who live the company's mission: to give people a home where they can live abundantly and create more community in the world. Instead of simply assisting residents, teammates are encouraged to form personal relationships with them and develop a welcoming environment.

"Mvix's platform has helped us create a very distinct employee experience. Their solution has had an immediate impact on employee performance — our teammates like having easy access to daily progress reports and other important information. Personally, I'm very impressed with the content integrations and remote management functions."

To support this initiative, Avesta looked into implementing a communication solution that would give teammates easy access to real-time performance metrics. Typically, employees would get the metrics via email once a week. However, this was not the most efficient method of delivering such pertinent information that impacts daily performance. After deciding that a digital signage solution was necessary to deliver information in real-time, Avesta selected Mvix as its digital signage platform.

Mvix implemented a network of 40 digital signage systems in 39 locations across Texas and Florida. The screens share performance metrics including, but not limited to, occupancy trends, number of open tickets and how long they're open, number of apartment tours per community, and applications received. Individual offices have access to their metrics and those of other communities for comparison and to encourage healthy competition.

In addition to metrics, Avesta is also leveraging the displays to promote togetherness and community between their locations. The entire company is able to celebrate employee achievements, birthdays and anniversaries when they are posted on the displays.

"Mvix's platform has helped us create a very distinct employee experience," said Dan Saccavino, Avesta's IT Manager. "Their solution has had an immediate impact on employee performance — our teammates like having easy access to daily progress reports and other important information. Personally, I'm very impressed with the content integrations and remote management functions."

"Our digital signage systems are designed with interactivity, ease-of-use, and scalability in mind," said Mike Kilian, the Senior Director of Business Development at Mvix. "We're glad Avesta is able to leverage our solution to drive their employee experience and increase their bottom line."
